communities of practice – what an old idea

All through my last months’ readings, projects and work, I keep stumbling upon the concept of communities of practice/knowledge networks. I found myself really uptodate because of this :). But, I was reading today about the Hateg Country old guilds and realized how old this concept actually is. Never made this connection before..
